American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. In the end, she focused on her education. she earned the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies degree. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she finished her studies. My Vag, her song My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a viral hit on the Internet and later appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter track connected directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. After having a great career as a musician, she took on the role of an actor. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In 2018 she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
