Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. Her parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. She was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was found at a young age. When she was in 1992, she attended her first audition. The audition was for a part of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother signed her up at an agency prior to when turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper advertisements. Also, she began private acting classes around the age of 13. Bell played a small part, uncredited in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music as well as drama. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the leading Dorothy role. Following graduation, Bell made the move into New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in which she was a musical theater student. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on her role as Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang however, the sequence in which she played the role was removed. As a result, there is only a credit sequence. Bell was seen alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
